What you'll do

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of GxP and non-GxP lab informatics systems like LIMS and ELN.
  • Serve as a technical data steward to oversee data pipelines, models, metadata structures, and scientific data semantics.
  • Design and manage automated solutions for complex business challenges while ensuring adherence to project budgets and timelines.
  • Identify and integrate cutting-edge technologies and AI/ML capabilities to improve research, discovery, and preclinical development workflows.
  • Establish system specifications and hardware/software integration parameters to ensure high performance and scalability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement large-scale data management solutions.
  • Develop standards, tools, and knowledge requirements for the lab informatics functional area.
  • Consult with stakeholders to define requirements for data access, reporting, and system interfaces.

What we're looking for

  • A BS/BA in computer science or IT with 6+ years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical environment is required.
  • A Master's degree in computer science or IT with 4+ years of relevant experience is an acceptable alternative.
  • A PhD with 2+ years of related experience is an acceptable alternative.
  • Experience supporting validated GxP applications for regulatory purposes in a biotech or pharmaceutical company is strongly recommended.
  • Candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of R&D systems and relevant application technologies.
  • Expertise in communicating technical information effectively across all organizational levels is required.
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, and project management skills are necessary to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple deadlines with high accuracy are required.
