PC Network Support Technician 4

What you'll do

• Provide technical leadership and coaching to a team of PC Network Support Technicians.
• Resolve hardware, software, and network problems for internal and external customers via telephone and in-person.
• Use Active Directory to manage user accounts, perform password resets, and maintain security protocols.
• Maintain accurate inventory records for all hardware assets in the tracking system.
• Complete all required paperwork and tasks to satisfy security regulations for hardware installation and retirement.
• Work with Security teams to remediate classified or unclassified data spillage incidents.
• Perform network diagnostics to identify, isolate, and analyze technical problems using historical records.
• Participate in new installations, testing, and special projects as needed.

What we're looking for

• Must have a High School diploma with 6 years of experience, an Associates degree with 4 years, or a Bachelor’s degree with 2 years.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must have experience in Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Active Directory, LAN/WAN networking, and Microsoft Office Product Suites.
• Must meet U.S. Government 8140 requirements by possessing or being able to obtain a Security+ certification within 6 months of hire.
• Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work on-site full-time at the San Diego, CA campus.
• Preferred: 5 years of experience with IT hardware in a classified environment (preferred).
• Preferred: Current HW and/or SW Vendor Certifications (preferred).
• Preferred: Experience in remote administration via SCCM or PowerShell (preferred).
• Preferred: Experience supporting VMware VDI with thin clients (preferred).
• Preferred: Cross-platform OS awareness including Windows, Linux, Solaris, OSX, or UNIX (preferred).
• Preferred: Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or JIRA (preferred).
