Payroll, Compensation & Benefits IT Specialist

What you'll do

• Configure and maintain Dayforce modules including Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and Time & Attendance.
• Build complex earning, deduction, and overtime rules using the Dayforce Rules Engine.
• Manage annual Open Enrollment by configuring carrier plans, eligibility rules, and enrollment workflows.
• Design and maintain automated data exchanges using XML/XSLT, Web Services APIs, and SFTP protocols.
• Create and optimize custom reports and analytics to ensure compliance with federal and state labor standards.
• Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex payroll calculation glitches and system errors.
• Perform regression testing during Dayforce service packs, weekly updates, and annual tax table changes.
• Manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and data policies to ensure strict PII security.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on technical configuration and administration experience within the Dayforce (Ceridian) platform.
• Demonstrated experience configuring the Dayforce Rules Engine for pay, benefit, and compensation setup.
• Proficiency with Data Transformations (XML, XSLT), SFTP protocol setup, and API integrations within Dayforce.
• Expert-level custom report authoring using Dayforce Analytics.
• Strong working knowledge of multi-state payroll processing, tax filing rules, and benefits administration logic.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks including ACA, FLSA, HIPAA, and SOC 1/2.
• Dayforce Certified Professional or CPP or WorldatWork CCP or SHRM-CP / PHR (preferred).
