Payroll, Compensation & Benefits IT Specialist

What you'll do

• Configure and audit system rules for payroll, benefits, compensation, and time & attendance within the Dayforce platform.
• Build complex earning, deduction, overtime, and garnishment rules using the Dayforce Rules Engine.
• Administer annual open enrollment by configuring carrier plans, eligibility rules, and enrollment workflows.
• Design and maintain automated data exchanges using XML, XSLT, Web Services APIs, and SFTP protocols.
• Manage 834 EDI carrier feeds, 401(k) provider interfaces, and General Ledger posting connections.
• Author and optimize complex custom reports and system logs using Dayforce Analytics and SQL.
• Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor standards.
• Serve as Tier 3 support for complex payroll glitches and manage regression testing for system updates.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on technical configuration and administration experience within the Dayforce (Ceridian) platform.
• Experience configuring the Dayforce Rules Engine for Pay, Benefit, and Compensation setup.
• Proficiency with Data Transformations (XML, XSLT), SFTP protocol setup, and API integrations within Dayforce.
• Expert-level ability to author custom reports using Dayforce Analytics.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll processing, tax filing rules, and benefits administration logic.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks including ACA, FLSA, HIPAA, and SOC 1/2.
• Dayforce Certified Professional, CPP, WorldatWork CCP, or SHRM-CP / PHR certifications (preferred).
