Join the Deposition Product Group Materials Science & Technology team as a senior materials scientist or engineer, where you will drive engineering development through systematic empirical and modeling efforts to deliver superior solutions. You’ll identify opportunities and lead programs in materials science, chemistry, physics, mechanics, and fabrication methods to develop novel materials and surface treatments, utilizing best practices in experimental design and data interpretation. Your responsibilities include defining and conducting accelerated life testing, materials characterization, and failure analysis to enhance engineering capability for robust hardware design and determine hardware lifetime. You will communicate key learnings to define system operational boundaries and present hardware solutions supported by data and mechanism understandings for deployment in semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment. The ideal candidate has a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Engineering, or Metallurgical Engineering with extensive experience in metallurgy, electrochemistry, laboratory work, and advanced materials characterization techniques. Strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, and excellent collaboration skills are essential for success in this dynamic environment.
