What you'll do

  • Develop innovative characterization methods for drug substances, excipients, and intermediates from particulate to bulk scales.
  • Apply AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to extract insights from complex datasets and predict material behavior.
  • Implement automated and high-throughput characterization workflows using robotic platforms and digital laboratory environments.
  • Establish experimental data pipelines with process modelers to support model-informed drug product development.
  • Create data analysis, visualization, and reporting workflows to facilitate rapid decision-making and knowledge generation.
  • Connect material properties with manufacturing processes to improve product quality and development efficiency.
  • Communicate scientific findings through technical reports, presentations, publications, and patents.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging characterization technologies by collaborating with academic institutions and technology providers.

What we're looking for

  • Must have a PhD with 0–3 years of experience or an MS with 7 to 9 years of industrial experience in relevant fields.
  • Degree must be in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise is required in the characterization of powders, particulate materials, granular systems, or other complex materials.
  • Must possess strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills to handle complex experimental datasets.
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have a documented record of scientific publications, presentations, patents, or technology development.
  • Preferred experience includes developing novel characterization methods, instrumentation, or measurement workflows.
  • Work authorization in the United States.
