What you'll do

Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems from initial concept through to productization.
Design components using various materials including metals, ceramics, quartz, plastics, and advanced coatings.
Perform detailed structural, thermal, fluid dynamics, and finite element analysis (FEA) to specify designs.
Conduct CFD modeling for gas delivery systems and develop thermal management strategies for extreme environments.
Create technical documentation including GD&T, FMEA, risk analysis, and high-quality reports for design reviews.
Execute feasibility studies and test plans to validate design performance against requirements.
Lead cross-disciplinary integration between mechanical, controls, firmware, and system engineering teams.
Perform root cause analysis on field or test issues involving flow instability or thermal gradients.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience.
Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as CREO, Siemens NX, ProE, or SolidWorks.
Strong background in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools like ANSYS Fluent/CFX, Star-CCM+, or COMSOL.
Deep understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics to apply first-principles analysis to complex systems.
Experience with thermal modeling and validation in vacuum systems, gas delivery, or semiconductor equipment.
Familiarity with control systems fundamentals, including PID control and interaction with physical hardware.
Working knowledge of firmware interaction with hardware systems, including sensors, actuators, and control loops.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical presentations and reporting.
