JOB TITLE: Manager, Systems Engineering
The Manager, Systems Engineering leads an engineering team within the Spectrum Superiority division supporting Electronic Warfare and the Next Generation Jammer program. This L5 leader manages technical execution, ensuring the team delivers high-quality systems engineering products through development, integration, test, fielding, and sustainment. Key responsibilities include overseeing requirements decomposition, architecture support, risk management, and technical staffing for RF hardware, software, firmware, and networking interfaces. The role requires coordinating cross-functional execution among electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams while managing subcontractors. Candidates must utilize tools like DOORS, MS Project, and model-based systems engineering environments. The work involves solving complex electronic attack and airborne mission-system challenges, specifically focusing on technology maturation, transition to production, and roadmap development for classified national security mission-critical products.
Manage and develop a systems engineering team through resource assignment, work prioritization, and performance management.
Lead systems engineering across the full life cycle including architecture, requirements analysis, design synthesis, and verification.
Contribute to system architectures and technical roadmaps for electronic warfare and airborne mission-system capabilities.
Oversee requirements decomposition, traceability, and verification planning for hardware, software, firmware, and networking.
Manage subcontractor requirements decomposition, statements of work, and design verification activities.
Drive technical risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution across development and production efforts.
Coordinate cross-functional engineering execution among systems, RF, electrical, software, and manufacturing teams.
Support proposal strategy, basis-of-estimate development, and technical volume creation for new business pursuits.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline and at least 12 years of related experience.
Graduate degree and at least 10 years of related experience.
Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
Minimum of 5 years of technical leadership, functional leadership, or engineering management experience leading cross-disciplinary teams (preferred).
Demonstrated experience leading systems engineering for Electronic Warfare, electronic attack, RF, or airborne mission systems (preferred).
Experience leading teams through complex customer engagements with DoD, IC, or other national security customers (preferred).
Experience in military, national security, or mission-critical product development environments is strongly desired (preferred).
