What you'll do

Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary systems engineering team of 10 to 12 direct reports.
Manage system requirements decomposition, architecture definition, interface control, and technical baseline management.
Drive the adoption of model-based systems engineering and digital engineering methods like SysML modeling.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve cost, schedule, and technical objectives for space and defense missions.
Support customer engagements, design reviews, and proposal activities for government and commercial space opportunities.
Manage team staffing, priorities, budgets, and development plans across multiple product lines.
Ensure all systems engineering artifacts comply with contract requirements and military aerospace standards.
Lead technical trade studies and risk management for radio frequency links and satellite command systems.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree and 12 years of experience, a graduate degree and 10 years of experience, or 16 years of experience without a degree.
Active Secret Security Clearance.
Experience leading systems engineering activities for radio frequency communications, satellite communications, space payloads, terminals, or other complex aerospace and defense systems (preferred).
Working knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle including requirements management, architecture development, interface definition, and verification (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to incorporate model-based systems engineering into product development or program execution (preferred).
Advanced degree in a related technical field or prior formal engineering management experience (preferred).
Experience with specific hardware like high power amplifiers, software-defined radio frequency payloads, or satellite command and control (preferred).
U.S. citizens.
