Manager Programs 2 serves as the Deputy Program Manager for Virginia-Class SSN/SSGN MAC Launching System Production within the Marine Systems team. This role involves supporting the Program Manager in directing all phases of a multi-year production program, including managing cost, schedule, and technical performance across multiple functions. The individual will perform risk and opportunity management, establish budget baselines using Earned Value Management methodologies, and monitor master plans to ensure milestone adherence. Key responsibilities include overseeing design changes, aligning subcontractors with program objectives, and acting as a primary customer contact for review sessions. The role requires expertise in manufacturing operations, project leadership, and technical execution within a production environment. Support the Program Manager in directing all phases of multi-year production programs from inception to completion.
Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance across multiple functions and projects.
Conduct risk and opportunity management by identifying, tracking, and mitigating potential issues.
Establish and manage budget baselines using Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and tools.
Monitor adherence to master plans and schedules while resolving program problems through resource allocation or specification changes.
Oversee the implementation of design changes and process improvements.
Align subcontractors and suppliers with common program objectives and performance expectations.
Act as a primary customer contact by leading review sessions and cultivating relationships to expand the product line.

U.S. citizenship is required.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, program management, or related fields.
At least 2 years of experience in program/project management and/or manufacturing operations involving cost, schedule, and technical execution.
At least 2 years of experience in a formal leadership role such as Project Lead, IPT Lead, or Cost Account Manager.
Experience leading cross-functional teams to coordinate tasks, track performance, and resolve issues.
Proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent project scheduling tools.
Experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to program execution.
