The Manager Programs 2 will serve as the Deputy Program Manager for Virginia-Class SSN/SSGN MAC Launching System Production within the Marine Systems team. This role involves directing all phases of a multi-year production program, including managing cost, schedule, and technical performance across multiple functions. Key responsibilities include conducting risk and opportunity management, establishing budget baselines using Earned Value Management methodologies, and overseeing design changes and process improvements. The individual will align subcontractors and suppliers to common objectives, lead program review sessions with customers, and coordinate the preparation of proposals and operating budgets. Required skills include experience in manufacturing operations, project leadership, and cross-functional team coordination. The role specifically addresses the production and lifecycle management of mission-enabling systems for global security and maritime defense.
Support the Program Manager in directing all phases of a multi-year production program from inception to completion.
Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance across multiple functions and projects.
Conduct thorough risk and opportunity management by identifying, mitigating, tracking, and realizing opportunities.
Establish and manage budget baselines using Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and tools.
Oversee the implementation of design changes and process improvements.
Direct and align subcontractors and suppliers to meet common program objectives and performance expectations.
Lead program review sessions with customers and senior leadership as a primary point of contact.
Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, operating budgets, and financial terms of contract.

U.S. citizenship is required.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant professional experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
2+ years of experience in program/project management and/or manufacturing operations.
2+ years of experience serving in a formal program or project leadership role.
Experience leading cross-functional teams to execute defined program, project, manufacturing, or organizational objectives.
Experience supporting U.S. Government and/or DoD programs or contracts within a manufacturing, production, or technical program environment (preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Project or equivalent project scheduling/planning tools (preferred).
