The Manager Programs 2 joins the Mission Systems sector to support the Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare organization. This role is responsible for delivering all contractual requirements on cost and schedule while ensuring technical performance across the entire program life cycle, from proposal development through contract closeout. The manager leads cross-functional Integrated Program Teams, manages project resources, and cultivates customer relationships to drive value. Daily responsibilities include tracking program requirements, managing budget baselines using Earned Value Management, performing risk management, and overseeing supplier activities. The role requires expertise in electronic warfare platforms, electrical and RF systems, or test equipment. Candidates must possess a Secret clearance and proficiency in tools like MS Project. This position addresses complex technical challenges within the electromagnetic maneuver warfare domain to ensure successful integration and testing of critical defense technologies.
Manage program cost, schedule, and technical performance throughout the entire lifecycle from proposal to closeout.
Cultivate customer relationships to develop new business opportunities and support value creation strategies.
Lead cross-functional Integrated Program Teams to meet specific contract requirements and performance goals.
Negotiate contracts, changes, operating budgets, and key terms with government customers.
Manage program resources including workforce planning and the oversight of supplier performance.
Track and manage project baselines using Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost control tools.
Conduct risk and opportunity management practices to identify and mitigate potential program issues.
Ensure all team activities adhere to contract scope, internal policies, and industry standards.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years, or Master’s and 6 years’ experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.
Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost, and achieving all requirements as a project lead, integrated program team, or cost account manager.
Demonstrated success leading teams or organizations to achieve a common goal.
Secret clearance required.
U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance.
Experience with electronic warfare platforms, electrical and RF systems, or test equipment (preferred).
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and MS Project (preferred).
