Manager Programs 1 joins the Production Program Office within the Advanced Tactical Programs unit for the Tactical Fighters business area. This role focuses on delivering contractual requirements on cost and schedule while ensuring all technical specifications are met through high levels of customer intimacy. The manager will lead cross-functional Integrated Program Teams to coordinate system integration, testing, and production sell-off activities. Key responsibilities include proposal development, contract closeout, risk management, and supplier coordination. To succeed, the candidate must possess expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) systems, schedule development tools like MS Project, and cost forecasting techniques such as variance analysis and Estimate at Completion development. The role addresses complex production challenges within the tactical fighter domain, requiring a professional capable of managing technical project management, global supply chain logistics, and engineering requirements to meet critical program performance goals.
Manage production system integration, testing, and sell-off activities for tactical fighter programs.
Deliver all contractual requirements on cost, schedule, and technical specifications.
Conduct risk, issue, and opportunity management to identify and mitigate potential project hurdles.
Track program performance using Earned Value Management (EVM) and other cost/schedule control tools.
Lead cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPTs) to meet specific performance objectives.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure they meet program and customer requirements.
Support proposal development, execution, and contract closeout processes.
Cultivate customer relationships and present program status during formal engagements.
What we're looking for
U.S. citizenship is required.
A current or active U.S. Government Secret Clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years) is required.
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience supporting US Government contracts in a project/technical lead role, or a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated professional or military experience in technical program management, business management, global supply chain, and engineering.
Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and schedule development tools to manage cost and schedule baselines.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing production programs and teams.
An active Special Access Program clearance (preferred).
Experience in customer interface, briefing senior leadership, systems integration, and PMP or CAM certification (preferred).
