The Manager Programs 1 joins the Mission Systems sector to support the Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare organization. This role is responsible for delivering all contractual requirements on cost and schedule while achieving technical goals and fostering customer intimacy. The manager leads a cross-functional organization through every phase of the program life cycle, from proposal development and startup to execution and contract closeout. Key responsibilities include managing cost, schedule, and technical performance, conducting risk and opportunity management, and overseeing workforce planning and supplier management. The role requires proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost and schedule control methodologies. The position involves developing new business through strategic planning, negotiating contracts, and establishing design concepts for product research, development, integration, and testing within the specific domain of electromagnetic maneuver warfare systems.
Deliver all contractual requirements on cost, schedule, and technical performance for Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare programs.
Lead cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to achieve specific program goals and milestones.
Cultivate customer relationships to develop new business opportunities and support value creation strategies.
Manage the full program life cycle from proposal development through execution and contract closeout.
Track and manage program requirements, budget baselines, and Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
Negotiate contracts, changes, specifications, operating budgets, and key terms with customers.
Identify and mitigate risks while managing opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage resources including workforce planning, supplier performance, and government-supplied property.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years, or Master’s and 3 years’ experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.
Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost, and achieving all requirements as a project lead, integrated program team, or cost account manager.
Demonstrated success leading teams or organizations to achieve a common goal.
Secret clearance required.
U.S. Citizenship is required for positions with a government clearance.
