Manager, Manufacturing Engineering - PCBA

What you'll do

• Lead the engineering team in providing DFM feedback and escalating manufacturing challenges to Design Engineering.
• Manage the PCBA Manufacturing Qualification process at contract manufacturers including readiness requirements and milestone reviews.
• Drive the adoption of new manufacturing technologies to improve quality, reliability, throughput, and cost.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve pre-production issues and improve yields during production ramps.
• Oversee failure and defect investigations to ensure root cause identification and corrective actions are completed.
• Prioritize opportunities for risk reduction and process simplification across the PCBA portfolio.
• Ensure delivery of manufacturing capabilities including equipment qualification, quality controls, and standardized rework practices.
• Direct the deployment and qualification of polymerics equipment for high-volume production.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering teams across interdisciplinary groups from concept to production.
• 5+ years of experience in PCBA/PCB production, processes, and manufacturing engineering.
• Experience driving Design for Excellence (DFM, DFA, DFT) upstream with Design Engineering.
• Working knowledge of board assembly processes including stencil, paste print, SPI, pick & place, SMT reflow, AOI, 5DX, selective solder, flying probe, and wash.
• Experience managing relationships with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and third-party test and failure analysis partners.
• Proven ability to build, develop, and lead engineering teams in root causing technical product manufacturability and process problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster team culture around innovation, manufacturability, quality, and reliability.
