Technical proficiency in Linux scripting or languages such as Python, Java, and Visual Basic is required to support the development of space-based systems.

What you'll do

  • Develop and optimize test strategies, fixtures, equipment, and maintenance programs at Contract Manufacturer sites.
  • Perform PCBA debugging and root-cause failure analysis to identify hardware and process issues.
  • Create detailed runbooks and technical documentation for test operators and manufacturing partners.
  • Train Contract Manufacturer personnel on test processes and recurring certification programs.
  • Analyze production data to identify failure trends and recommend improvements for test systems and PCBAs.
  • Provide feedback to R&D teams regarding test coverage, fault isolation, and Design for Test recommendations.
  • Manage small teams to execute technical projects and meet short-term manufacturing objectives.

What we're looking for

  • Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or granted asylum/refugee status for export control compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience deploying, using, and training others on complex test systems including RF functional tests, high power electrical tests, ICT, and Flying Probe.
  • 8+ years of experience integrating software and hardware systems.
  • 8+ years of experience using standard electronic lab test equipment to debug complex PCBAs.
  • Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
  • Experience with Linux scripting or other coding languages like Python, Java, or Visual Basic.
  • Ability to write detailed operating procedures and create deployment/capacity plans for multiple testers at various sites.
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering (preferred).
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production (preferred).
  • Experience with project management of technical projects (preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience deploying, using, and training others on complex test systems (preferred).
  • Experience with test plans and protocols related to established Space Hardware test processes like GEVS or SMC-S-016 (preferred).
  • Knowledge of software tools for test automation such as NI LabVIEW and TestStand (preferred).
  • Experience with electrical design including power supplies, FPGAs, sensors, RF, and high-speed digital interfaces (preferred).
  • Proven ability to run small teams to achieve objectives (preferred).
