The Lead Server Product Architect- Sr Director joins the Qualcomm Data Center team to develop high-performance, energy-efficient server solutions for data center applications. This role involves defining the architecture of a Server SoC to meet critical customer KPIs. You will collaborate with chip and platform architects to develop server roadmaps, feature sets, and detailed architecture specification documents. Key responsibilities include analytical modeling of performance, power, area, cost, and RAS. You must possess deep expertise in CPU and SoC architecture, specifically regarding chiplet architecture, coherency management, memory systems, power management, security, and debug and test architecture. The role requires making complex PPA and schedule trade-offs for advanced process nodes. Proficiency in digital ASIC design, CMOS circuit power, and ARM architecture is highly valued for these hyperscale data center solutions.
Define and develop the overall Product and SoC architecture for server solutions.
Develop the server roadmap and feature set across multiple architecture domains.
Perform analytical modeling of key server KPIs including performance, power, area, and cost.
Create detailed architecture specification documents for the server SoC.
Architect products using chiplets and various package integration technologies.
Manage trade-offs between PPA, cost, features, and schedules to define product architecture.
Design architectures for coherency management, memory systems, power management, and security.
Integrate RAS, Debug, and Test architectures for datacenter products.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 9+ years of relevant engineering experience.
PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
15 years of experience in semiconductor product development (preferred).
Over 15 years of experience in architecture of CPU and/or SoCs, and at least 7 years of experience with a high-performance server chip (preferred).
Strong expertise in multiple architecture domains including coherency management, memory system, IO architecture, Power management, and Security (preferred).
Experience in architecting products using chiplets and various package integration technologies (preferred).
Experience with ARM architecture including server architectures is a plus (preferred).
