Principal Server and AI Product Architect

What you'll do

• Define product and system architecture for EPYC processors and Instinct GPUs.
• Architect solutions using processors, accelerators, and network components for data center applications.
• Define product requirements with internal architects and software developers to optimize performance, power, and cost.
• Conduct research and development on next-generation datacenter compute designs to improve performance.
• Map outside-in usage cases across technologies to ensure a holistic, constrained system.
• Communicate technical results to leadership and engineering counterparts at top technology companies to drive alignment.
• Influence the shaping of future products by contributing to technology execution throughout the datacenter product line.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical or computer engineering.
• Deep knowledge of product architecture and design including memory, I/O, signal integrity, power, packaging, thermal, and hardware management.
• Detailed understanding of server industry standards such as DDR, PCIe, SATA, and other high-speed IO protocols.
• Proven track record of working with leading technology companies to jointly engineer products based on new SoCs, CPUs, or chipsets.
• Demonstrated Server and GPU products expertise from architecture through production (preferred).
• Experience working seamlessly across engineering disciplines and geographies to deliver results (preferred).
• Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and pronounced attention to details (preferred).
• Ability to be a self-starter and independently drive tasks to completion (preferred).
