What you'll do

Manage the lifecycle of servers and components by setting standards for diagnosis, replacement, and performance validation.
Lead large-scale network builds and migrations while overseeing risk assessment, cabling, and end-to-end connectivity.
Serve as the highest operational escalation point to lead cross-functional triage and root-cause analysis for complex incidents.
Develop and implement automated workflows, triage playbooks, and ticket taxonomies to improve response consistency.
Oversee compliance with safety protocols, site rules, and documentation requirements for high-risk work activities.
Conduct post-incident reviews to identify durable design and process changes that reduce risk across the fleet.
Mentor and coach technicians on advanced power distribution practices, hardware interventions, and professional etiquette.
Perform physical tasks including rack/stack operations, structured cabling, and equipment installation in a mission-critical environment.

What we're looking for

Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
3 to 5+ years of total experience required for the role.
2 to 5 years of data center experience is preferred; 4 years for development is preferred.
Leadership experience managing at least 10 people in a quickly changing environment is required.
Proficiency in systems administration (Linux/Windows), hardware repair, and networking fundamentals like DNS and TCP/IP.
Expertise in data center design, including electrical/cooling plants, airflow management, and structured cabling for fiber and copper.
Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb a 9 ft. ladder, and stand for up to 12 hours.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
