What you'll do

  • Maintain client systems including hardware, operating systems, application software, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Provide primary support for desktop system network functions and ensure user access to network applications.
  • Perform data center operations such as system backups, interface monitoring, and other required processes.
  • Coordinate initial communication and troubleshooting for data center issues until resolved by management or on-call staff.
  • Resolve daily technical tickets related to operating systems, server applications, and network connectivity.
  • Deploy client hardware and software while performing periodic preventative maintenance on user equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all computer assets and technical service tools.
  • Ensure the physical security and safety of the data center by following established protocols.

What we're looking for

  • Associate's Degree in Information Systems/Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a corporate or enterprise desktop client environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows client operating systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Citrix/Thin Client computing environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of desktop deployment technologies such as Microsoft SMS and Altiris.
  • Programming or scripting skills to assist in client deployment technologies.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an enterprise Data Center Operations role.
  • Proficiency in console commands for at least one UNIX operating system variant (HP-UX highly desired).
  • Experience with server backup and restore operations, preferably Veritas (preferred).
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server operations.
  • Experience with common Healthcare Data Center skills for interface monitoring and application management.
  • Experience with Epic EMR software (preferred).
  • Microsoft Certified Professional designation in Windows and Office (preferred).
