What you'll do

Design and develop Kafka-based data pipelines and messaging solutions for real-time data processing.
Configure, deploy, and monitor Kafka clusters across on-premises and AWS cloud environments.
Implement security measures including wire encryption, SSL, SASL/LDAP authentication, and Kafka ACLs.
Automate daily operations and infrastructure provisioning using shell scripting, Ansible, and Terraform.
Perform performance tuning, cluster upgrades, and monitoring setup to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
Manage Kafka Connect clusters, connector deployments, and schema registries.
Diagnose and resolve production errors and remediate product vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
Provision AWS resources including EC2 instances, EBS volumes, and security groups.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
3 years of experience in any Kafka systems administration role.
Experience performing Kafka cluster builds, including design, infrastructure planning, High Availability, and Disaster Recovery.
Experience implementing wire encryption (SSL), authentication (SASL/LDAP), and authorization (Kafka ACLs in Zookeeper).
Experience creating Kafka connect clusters, connector deployments, schemas, and schema registries.
Experience maintaining Kafka clusters through upgrades, performance tuning, monitoring, and feature additions.
Experience supporting Kafka in On-Premises and Cloud AWS environments.
Experience with automation using shell scripting, Ansible, and Terraform.
