The FPGA Firmware Engineer / FPGA Design Engineer joins the Global CAD team to develop FPGA firmware and embedded software for leading-edge wireless products. This role involves designing and implementing critical firmware for custom emulation hardware while contributing to the continuous development of tools, technology, and flows to meet various infrastructure needs. The successful candidate will utilize System Verilog, RTL/HDL, and FPGA tools from Xilinx and Intel, specifically working with Xilinx Ultrascale, Ultrascale+, MPSoC, and Intel Stratix platforms. Required skills include experience with FPGA design, ASIC verification, and integration. Preferred qualifications include C++, Python, Linux, and ARM-based designs, alongside protocol experience with AXI, PCIe, I2C, LVDS, and Ethernet. The work focuses on solving technical challenges within the CAD and EDA domain for wireless product design.
Design and implement critical firmware for custom emulation hardware.

What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience in FPGA design, FPGA firmware, or related work.
Hands-on experience with System Verilog, RTL/HDL, FPGA (Xilinx Ultrascale, Ultrascale+, MPSoC, Intel Stratix), and FPGA Tools (Xilinx, Intel).
Master's or PhD in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Applied Mathematics (preferred).
Experience with clock domain crossing, high speed designs, timing closure, VLSI concepts, and logic design (preferred).
Experience with C++, Python, Linux/Embedded Linux, ARM designs, Device Drivers, and protocols like AXI, PCIe, I2C, LVDS, and Ethernet (preferred).
