The role addresses the technical challenge of creating reliable firmware for mission-critical systems within the defense, aerospace, communications, or radar domains, ensuring high-speed interfaces and embedded processing subsystems function reliably across various hardware components.

What you'll do

  • Design, implement, and verify FPGA logic using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog on AMD Xilinx devices.
  • Create and maintain routing and timing constraints to ensure closure across various PVT corners.
  • Perform board-level bring-up and lab debug using Vivado tools, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Manage the full firmware lifecycle from requirements decomposition and architecture to synthesis and release support.
  • Resolve hardware and firmware integration issues through root-cause analysis in a laboratory environment.
  • Develop scripts in TCL or Python to support simulation, verification workflows, and automation.
  • Interpret schematics to coordinate with hardware and software teams during system integration.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-7 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Hands-on AMD Xilinx FPGA development experience using Vivado.
  • RTL design skills in VHDL or Verilog.
  • Experience writing and debugging routing/timing constraints (XDC) and driving timing closure.
  • Experience with simulation, verification workflows, and scripting in TCL and/or Python.
  • Experience in Linux-based development environments and version control workflows.
  • U.S. citizens.
