Facilities Specialist IV

What you'll do

• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain air-cooled chillers and associated mechanical systems in a 24/7 mission-critical environment.
• Diagnose failures involving compressors, fans, VFDs, refrigerant circuits, controls, pumps, valves, and BMS alarms.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment change-outs, and emergency response under approved procedures.
• Perform incident investigations and root cause analysis for mechanical and HVAC equipment or system issues.
• Coordinate and oversee OEM/vendor work while ensuring safe work controls and LOTO protocols.
• Support capacity planning, retrofits, and operational initiatives to ensure the maintainability of installed systems.
• Partner with site operations teams to improve documentation quality and safety for mechanical and HVAC systems.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must have 3 to 5+ years of experience in the field.
• EPA Section 608 Technician Certification is required for handling refrigerant on stationary HVACR equipment.
• Experience with mission-critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, or large commercial mechanical systems is desired.
• Proficiency in air-cooled chillers, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, and water treatment systems is required.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, sequences of operation, and equipment documentation is required.
• Experience with BMS, PLC controls, and troubleshooting complex electrical or mechanical components is preferred.
• Technical certification, trade experience, or apprenticeship completion is preferred.
• Candidates must be able to read, write, and speak English.
