Enterprise Technical Subject Matter Expert, Mechanical Systems

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary technical authority for enterprise-level mechanical systems training across global data centers.
• Establish and maintain standardized training programs and qualification requirements for critical mechanical infrastructure.
• Deliver instructor-led classroom and field-based training to personnel at various data center locations.
• Conduct hands-on instruction using actual mechanical equipment and real-world operational scenarios.
• Partner with Instructional Designers to create technical courses, assessment tools, and student materials.
• Validate the technical accuracy of all mechanical training content and curriculum updates.
• Support commissioning, startup, and operational readiness for new data center campuses.
• Identify knowledge gaps and recommend improvements based on emerging technologies and operational feedback.

What we're looking for

• Must have 6 to 10+ years of experience in the relevant field.
• Extensive experience operating and maintaining mission-critical mechanical infrastructure in hyperscale, enterprise, or industrial environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in chilled water, HVAC, and mechanical cooling systems supporting critical facilities.
• Experience developing or delivering technical training for adult learners.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills to simplify complex technical concepts.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to data center campuses.
• Preferred experience in hyperscale data center operations and commissioning activities.
• Preferred familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and relevant industry certifications.
