Data Center Facilities Specialist

What you'll do

• Operate, maintain, and repair critical MEP systems including cooling plants, UPS units, generators, and switchgear.
• Perform daily inspections of infrastructure to identify and resolve potential failures before they cause outages.
• Execute hands-on mechanical work such as brazing, soldering, pipe fitting, and refrigerant handling.
• Monitor building management systems (BMS) and electrical power monitoring systems to respond to alarms.
• Develop and update technical documentation including MOPs, SOPs, and emergency operating procedures.
• Interpret complex schematics, one-lines, and piping diagrams to perform assembly and troubleshooting.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate scheduled system shutdowns or construction upgrades.
• Resolve electronic work tickets while ensuring compliance with safety codes and environmental regulations.

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• 5+ years of professional experience operating or maintaining HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or data center critical-infrastructure systems.
• 2+ years of experience operating or maintaining data center critical infrastructure systems.
• Valid California driver's license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at elevated heights up to 150 feet.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for export control authorizations.
• Preferred: Technical certification, journeyman, or master in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems.
• Preferred: EPA Section 608 refrigerant certification and experience with PLC-based control systems or building management systems.
