EPMS Engineer

What you'll do

• Develop datacenter EPMS designs from initial basis of design through construction issuance for new builds and retrofits.
• Direct A/E consultants in designing EPMS systems, controls, and electrical distribution topologies.
• Manage EPMS system designs throughout procurement, bidding, manufacturing, delivery, and site installation phases.
• Oversee the development of technical specifications and drawings for electrical sequences of operation and network architecture.
• Analyze lease and colocation datacenter spaces from external providers to ensure compliance with Microsoft requirements.
• Collaborate with operations teams and vendors to implement strategic improvements for EPMS systems and equipment.
• Mitigate cyber security risks related to networking and EPMS deployment.
• Travel to sites for factory witness testing, vendor interaction, and final commissioning of installed systems.

What we're looking for

• A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 1+ year of technical experience is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 2+ years of technical experience is required.
• Candidates must be able to pass a Microsoft Cloud background check and meet government security screening requirements.
• Verification of United States citizenship is required due to legal restrictions for government agency customers.
• The role requires an electrical engineer capable of achieving PE licensure.
• Candidates should have a detailed understanding of datacenter electrical engineering, power monitoring systems, and network topology.
• Knowledge of cyber security practices and mitigation techniques for networking and EPMS deployment is required.
• Experience in designing, operating, and commissioning electrical distribution systems from high voltage to branch circuits is preferred.
