Key responsibilities include creating real-time production dashboards, HMIs, and operator interfaces, as well as building SQL databases and complex queries to track KPIs like OEE and throughput. The role requires expertise in Ignition, Python for scripting, SQL, OPC-UA communications, and Allen-Bradley PLC systems. You will also manage data collection systems, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure secure architectures for manufacturing systems integrated with MES and ERP platforms.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop Ignition applications using Perspective and Vision modules.

  • Build SQL databases and write complex queries to manage manufacturing data.
  • Connect PLCs and industrial devices to the Ignition platform via OPC-UA.
  • Develop automated reporting systems, alarms, and notifications for operations.
  • Integrate manufacturing systems with enterprise platforms like MES and ERP.
  • Create historian systems and dashboards to track KPIs such as OEE and downtime.
  • Troubleshoot plant-floor connectivity issues and document system architecture changes.

What we're looking for

  • A Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of experience, a Master's with 5 years, or a PhD with 3 years is required.
  • Experience developing solutions in Ignition, including Perspective and Vision modules, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Python programming for scripting, automation, data processing, and system integration is preferred.
  • Experience with SQL databases, data acquisition, and manufacturing reporting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MES, ERP, SCADA, or historian platforms in digital manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of manufacturing cybersecurity, industrial networking, and OT/IT integration best practices is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, specifically Allen-Bradley systems and plant-floor equipment integration, is preferred.
  • Candidates must possess valid U.S. work authorization to be eligible for employment.
