As an Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager within the Global Environmental, Health, and Safety Team, you will drive the prevention of incidents and illnesses through high-risk-activity management processes, emergency response planning, and safety protocols in datacenter operations. You will serve as the primary contact for implementing EHS programs at specific datacenters while performing inspections, audits, and workplace risk assessments to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies. Your daily work involves supporting incident investigations, conducting root cause analyses, monitoring regulatory requirements, and analyzing safety metrics to communicate results to leadership. This role focuses on ensuring a safe working environment for the delivery of core infrastructure and foundational technologies. Required qualifications include a degree in Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field along with experience in Environmental Health and Safety Worldwide Regulations.
Serve as the primary contact for implementing EHS programs at specific Microsoft datacenters.
Conduct site inspections, audits, and workplace risk assessments to ensure regulatory compliance.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses to identify and implement corrective actions.
Monitor and communicate safety standards and regulatory requirements to manage risks proactively.
Analyze safety metrics and report findings to leadership to drive accountability and action.
Develop and implement safety solutions in coordination with staff and contractors at all levels.
Present regular reports on topical information and safety metrics to site leadership teams.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field and 2+ years experience in EHS worldwide regulations.
Equivalent experience to the required degree and years of experience is acceptable.
Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check every two years.
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or Industrial Hygiene and 5+ years experience in EHS worldwide regulations (preferred).
Master's Degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Industrial Hygiene and 3+ years experience in EHS worldwide regulations (preferred).
