The Entry Level - FPGA Design/Verification Engineer joins a team of hardware and systems engineers to design, verify, and integrate FPGAs for avionics hardware. This role supports the full FPGA design lifecycle for Xilinx, Microsemi, and other device families, following the DO-254 design process. Daily responsibilities include designing, simulating, and verifying FPGAs, managing requirements, and preparing documentation for product development and certification. The engineer will also test and integrate FPGAs into circuit card assemblies. Key technical skills include experience with Zynq and PolarFire devices, high-speed data interfaces like PCIe, AXI bus, SERDES, and DMA, and avionics protocols such as MIL-STD-1553 and ARINC 429. Proficiency with VHDL and UVM test benches, as well as VxWorks C software, is also required.
