The role supports the E-6B Mercury, an airborne command post and communications relay platform used for long-range patrols and transmitting instructions to fleet ballistic missile submarines. Required skills include experience in aviation manufacturing or product support, proposal execution under FFP, and proficiency in complex technical program presentation.
Manage program Profit and Loss (P&L) and report financial performance through the management chain.
Lead cross-functional Integrated Program Teams to meet cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives.
Develop new business opportunities through strategic planning, capture planning, and proposal development.
Perform risk and opportunity management by identifying, mitigating, and realizing potential impacts.
Manage program resources including workforce planning and the oversight of suppliers to meet objectives.
Negotiate contracts, changes, specifications, operating budgets, and key terms with customers.
Develop and maintain budget baselines using Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost control tools.
Deliver technical presentations to customers, executive management, and other program stakeholders.
What we're looking for
A high school diploma or a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline related to the aviation industry is required.
At least 12 years of experience in an aviation manufacturing, product support, or repair environment is required (or 8 years with specific qualifications).
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Program Manager or Deputy Program Manager with Profit and Loss responsibility.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
U.S. citizenship is required for this position.
Proficiency in program management tools including Risk & Opportunities, Alpha contracting, and Program Execution Framework.
Experience presenting complex technical programs and concepts to senior management and customers.
Knowledge and experience in executing proposals and contracts under Firm Fixed Price (FFP) terms.
