Director, Solution Engineering, Cloud & AI

What you'll do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Cloud & AI Solution Engineers to ensure technical excellence and career growth.
• Drive customer technical strategy to turn business priorities into secure, scalable Azure cloud architectures.
• Accelerate adoption of Microsoft’s Cloud & AI portfolio, including infrastructure, data platforms, and Copilot.
• Partner with sales and customer success leaders to shape pipelines, remove technical blockers, and improve forecast accuracy.
• Build trusted relationships with customer executives and technical decision-makers to influence strategic technology choices.
• Connect technical depth to measurable business outcomes to bring clarity to complex customer engagements.
• Champion continuous learning by maintaining deep technical expertise in the Cloud & AI portfolio.

What we're looking for

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or related field and 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field and 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience.
• 7+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience, or equivalent experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States that does not now or in the future require employer sponsorship.
• Experience leading technical sales, solution engineering, cloud architecture, consulting, or customer-facing engineering teams (preferred).
• Demonstrated ability to coach technical talent, build inclusive teams, and lead through influence across matrixed organizations (preferred).
• Understanding of cloud platforms, AI, data, application modernization, security, and enterprise architecture patterns (preferred).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, AI platforms, Copilot, developer tools, data platforms, and competitive cloud/AI market dynamics (preferred).
