As a Solution Engineer - Cloud & AI Applications, you will join the team focused on transforming the developer experience for cloud and AI applications. You will drive technical sales by conducting demos, proof of concepts, hackathons, and architecture workshops to help customers adopt innovations like Agentic AI and Azure AI. Your daily work involves collaborating with engineering leaders to design secure, scalable architectures and resolve technical blockers while guiding enterprise developers through the full development lifecycle. The role requires expertise in AI Foundry, Semantic Kernel, and Responsible AI, alongside cloud-native development skills including APIs, containerization, microservices, and event-driven systems. You will utilize tools such as GitHub, Copilot Studio, VS Code, Jupyter, PyCharm, and languages like Python, Java, C#, and C++ to help customers modernize applications and realize the full value of the AI platform.
Drive technical sales using demos and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) to influence solution design and production deployments.
Lead hands-on engagements including hackathons, code-with sessions, and architecture workshops to accelerate tool adoption.
Co-design secure and scalable architectures with developers and platform leads to solve complex business needs.
Resolve technical blockers and objections by collaborating with engineering teams to improve product offerings.
Develop and implement AI applications using frameworks like Agentic AI, Semantic Kernel, and the Foundry SDK.
Manage AI infrastructure security and operations including Gen AI Ops, Sentinel, and monitoring tools.
Represent Microsoft as a thought leader in developer communities and customer forums.
What we're looking for
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 2+ years of technical pre-sales or consulting experience.
A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 1+ year of technical pre-sales or consulting experience.
At least 3 years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience, or equivalent experience.
6+ years of technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery experience (preferred).
4+ years of experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management (preferred).
Proficiency in Agentic frameworks, AI Management & Security, and familiarity with AI/ML models like Semantic Kernel and AI Foundry (preferred).
Skill with tools and languages such as GitHub, Copilot Studio, Python, Java, C#, or .NET (preferred).
Understanding of full stack application architecture, cloud native development, and ability to lead technical engagements like hackathons and PoCs (preferred).
