Design Engineer, Package Integration

What you'll do

• Concept and design mechanical systems that meet performance, quality, and cost targets.
• Resolve complex design issues and serve as the primary point of contact for shop support.
• Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate design, manufacturing processes, costs, and deviations.
• Lead component and supplier strategy initiatives to improve product development.
• Support product validation and ensure robust designs are delivered on time.
• Manage team workload and lead specific project initiatives.
• Communicate technical information accurately and succinctly to stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
• Approximately 6 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Extensive experience with computer-aided design tools to produce, analyze, simulate, and test product design drafts.
• Extensive knowledge of product design processes to convert customer and market requirements into designs.
• Working knowledge of product features to design and develop new products from concept through production.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, and groups while prioritizing time and tasks.
• Master’s degree in an Engineering or relevant field (preferred).
• Experience with fabrication design, system integration, factory support, or supplier strategy (preferred).
