Data Center Facilities Technician

What you'll do

• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building automation systems.
• Monitor and maintain uninterruptable power sources, batteries, and emergency generators to ensure continuous service.
• Conduct inspection rounds to collect equipment readings and maintain detailed logs of all activities.
• Manage data center incidents by troubleshooting issues, communicating status updates, and performing root cause analyses.
• Oversee vendor and contractor schedules while ensuring they follow safety protocols in critical environments.
• Execute periodic maintenance tasks and ensure the cleanliness of computer and critical equipment rooms.
• Prepare technical reports to document findings, project progress, and infrastructure improvements.
• Manage inventory and resources such as spare parts, fuel, and other essential consumables.

What we're looking for

• Must be able to obtain a government security clearance or certification (e.g., DOD or VA).
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• Must hold a Universal Refrigeration Certificate.
• Must have a General Electrical Apprenticeship/Training Certificate, OR a Mechanical Maintenance Apprenticeship/Training Certificate.
• Experience in data center operations is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk long distances in large complexes.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
