As a Critical Environment Operations Manager within the Cloud Infrastructure and Operations team, you will lead a team of mechanical, electrical, and control system professionals supporting essential online services. You will manage day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in datacenters while striving to maximize critical environment availability and operational efficiency. Your role involves reducing high-impact incidents, delivering on cost and energy efficiency initiatives, and performing routine reporting for power, temperature, relative humidity, and SLA monitoring. To succeed, you must possess experience in mission-critical service management and people management. The work focuses on the technical challenge of maintaining critical infrastructure for a global portfolio of datacenters. Key competencies include managing large-scale projects involving UPS, generators, AHUs, servers, SANs, networking, and capacity planning within complex physical IT infrastructures.
Lead a team of mechanical, electrical, and control system professionals supporting online services.
Oversee daily operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in datacenters.
Maximize critical environment availability to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
Reduce high-impact and human-error incidents within the critical environment year over year.
Execute cost and energy efficiency initiatives for datacenter infrastructure.
Manage routine reporting for power, temperature, humidity, and SLA monitoring.
Share and develop best practices with regional and global peers across the datacenter portfolio.
What we're looking for
High School Qualification or equivalent and 6+ years of mission-critical service management experience.
At least 1 year of people management experience.
Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks every two years.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
Technical College certification in mechanical or electrical engineering and/or services (preferred).
6+ years of enterprise-level experience managing large scale projects, Critical Environment infrastructures, and physical IT infrastructures (preferred).
5+ years of experience leading diverse technical workforces or managing global and virtual teams (preferred).
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, CCNA, ITIL v3, PMP, or CDCP (preferred).
