Commercial Electrician

What you'll do

• Oversee operation of commercial building normal, life safety, and emergency electrical systems.
• Maintain utility cabinets, transformers, switchboards, risers, and distribution panels.
• Manage installation, startup, maintenance, and repair of diesel generators and UPS systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair paralleling switchgear breakers, static switches, and automatic transfer switches.
• Operate and bypass building fire alarm and suppression systems for inspections or construction support.
• Perform daily area checks to identify and repair lighting and electrical distribution components.
• Identify trade deficiencies and report them to Work Order Control.
• Execute all tasks in compliance with NFPA 70 safety guidelines in a 24/7 environment.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of five years of directly related and progressively responsible electrical experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a Class I/Class II or IEC Journeymans license, an accredited apprenticeship completion, or a two-year vocational certificate.
• Experience in critical infrastructure environments is preferred.
• Expertise in emergency diesel generators, UPS systems, fire suppression systems, and automatic transfer switches.
• General understanding of utility services, transformers, and distribution switchgear.
• Valid Driver's License required.
