Critical Environment Operating Engineer As a Critical Environment Operating Engineer, you will join the team to maintain mission-critical data center infrastructure essential for ensuring 100% uptime for vital digital operations. Your daily tasks involve recording equipment readings, analyzing system performance, performing corrective actions, managing work orders through CMMS, and coordinating with vendors to resolve customer-facing tickets. The role requires proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and specialized tools like Corrigo. You will manage complex infrastructure including HVAC, chillers, and industrial controls while ensuring compliance with safety standards. This position addresses the critical challenge of maintaining continuous power and cooling for high-stakes data center environments to keep the digital world running seamlessly.

What you'll do

Operate and maintain critical building systems including UPS, generators, cooling systems, and medium-voltage electrical infrastructure.
Monitor and adjust refrigeration, chilled water, air conditioning equipment, boilers, pumps, and valves to ensure optimal performance.
Record equipment readings and analyze system operations to identify and correct malfunctions immediately.
Manage work orders through a CMMS and coordinate with vendors to resolve customer-facing tickets.
Follow emergency escalation procedures and respond to site emergencies to protect critical infrastructure.
Maintain safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials while ensuring the workplace meets safety standards.
Document activities and communicate technical information clearly in both verbal and written formats.

What we're looking for

Must have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in a data center or critical facility environment.
Must have demonstrated experience with mission-critical systems including UPS, emergency generators, switchgear, and power distribution.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills to document activities and communicate technical information.
Must have working knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Must be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders up to 30 feet, and work at heights or on rooftops.
Must be available to work different schedules including holidays and respond to site emergencies.
Preferred experience includes using the Corrigo system and holding Universal EPA 608 certification.
Preferred qualifications include NFPA 70E training and experience with building automation systems (BAS).
