What you'll do

Conduct daily inspections of UPS systems, switchgear, and power distribution equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Monitor electrical parameters and alert senior technicians to any abnormal conditions requiring immediate attention.
Perform comprehensive battery room inspections including voltage readings, temperature monitoring, and visual safety assessments.
Execute routine electrical system checks and document all readings in compliance with facility protocols.
Assist with battery maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance activities on electrical distribution systems.
Participate in troubleshooting activities for complex electrical systems under senior technician supervision.
Manage electrical work orders through CMMS systems and coordinate with vendors for maintenance activities.
Respond to electrical system alarms and incidents to ensure rapid resolution of critical issues.

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with electrical systems in data center or critical facility environments.
Solid knowledge of electrical fundamentals including AC/DC systems and safety principles.
Experience with electrical inspection procedures and proficiency using measurement tools.
Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 50+ pounds and climbing ladders up to 30 feet.
Availability for emergency response calls and flexible scheduling including holidays.
Preferred Associate degree in electrical technology or equivalent technical education.
Preferred certifications include Universal EPA 608 and NFPA 70E training.
