Chief Engineer

What you'll do

• Oversee the maintenance and operation of all building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and digital systems.
• Supervise, train, and coach engineers and maintenance staff to ensure high performance and professional development.
• Develop and manage a documented plan for preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance procedures.
• Identify and remediate safety hazards to ensure a safe environment for all building occupants and staff.
• Assist in developing capital improvement plans including infrastructure upgrades, equipment replacements, and building modifications.
• Select, schedule, and supervise third-party contractors while monitoring and documenting their performance.
• Respond effectively to all emergency calls and service requests promptly.
• Lead and organize ongoing training programs for technical, safety, and operational processes.

What we're looking for

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license.
• 7+ years of related experience as a Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, or similar role.
• 2+ years of experience managing an engineering or maintenance team.
• Trade school education, union training, military service, or college degree is desirable.
• Valid CFC EPA certification and an Operating Engineer license or similar are required where applicable by state regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 30 feet tall.
