Wireless Radio Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Design radio models for wireless communication systems and RF/circuit impairments.
• Develop algorithms for calibration, pre-compensation, cancellation, and pre-distortion to mitigate hardware impairments.
• Evaluate radio performance across various scenarios using quantitative analysis and link simulations.
• Collaborate with designers to develop state-of-the-art radio architectures.
• Implement PHY and radio compensation algorithms with power and area-efficient digital designs.
• Work with firmware engineers to implement high-efficiency software for calibration and hardware acceleration.
• Bring up, test, characterize, tune, and optimize real silicon in a laboratory environment.

What we're looking for

• Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree.
• Understanding of RF and analog components, wireless communication system impairments, and corresponding calibration/reduction methods.
• Proven track record of RF calibration algorithms for RF impairments.
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, and/or C/C++ for algorithm development, modeling, and simulation.
• Hands-on experience in lab testing and characterization using tools like spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters.
• MSEE or PhD degree with relevant experience (preferred).
• Understanding of communication theory, information theory, and signal processing related algorithms design (preferred).
• Knowledge of wireless protocols such as 5G-NR, WiFi (802.11), or Bluetooth/BLE; and circuit design experience (preferred).
