TL;DR · Wireless Systems Integration Engineer

As a Wireless Systems Integration Engineer within the silicon design group, you will be responsible for system integration, designing radio calibration algorithms, chip bringup, and characterizing state-of-the-art wireless SoC products from conception through production. Your daily work involves bringing up, validating, and tuning WiFi PHY and radio systems on emulation, FPGA, and real silicon platforms. You will design and implement optimal algorithms to calibrate IQ imbalance, DC Offset, LO feed through, and other radio impairments using Python or Matlab simulation environments. Collaborating with PHY, FW, RFIC, and digital HW designers, you will develop test plans, analyze results, and debug issues. Required skills include proficiency in Python, Matlab, and C/C++, along with expertise in communication theory, DSP, OFDM systems, and wireless protocols like IEEE 802.11 or LTE to solve complex radio impairment challenges.

What you'll do

  • Bring up, validate, and tune WiFi PHY/Radio systems on emulation, FPGA, and real silicon platforms.
  • Design and implement algorithms to calibrate IQ imbalance, DC Offset, and LO feed through.
  • Develop calibration algorithms in Python or Matlab environments to benchmark system performance.
  • Implement algorithms for both factory tuning and real-time operation of wireless components.
  • Create and execute test plans to collect and analyze data for system characterization.
  • Identify and debug technical issues during the development of state-of-the-art wireless SoC products.
  • Develop automated test and verification flows using scripting languages like Python.

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree is required.
  • Experience with chip bringup and tuning wireless transmitter or receiver chains is required.
  • Familiarity with calibration algorithms is required.
  • Knowledge of communication theory, DSP, OFDM systems, radio architectures, and radio impairments is required.
  • Proficiency in Python, Matlab, and/or C/C++ implementation is required.
  • Experience designing algorithms for calibration, pre-equalization, or digital pre-distortion techniques is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience using wireless test lab equipment like spectrum analyzers and signal generators is preferred.
  • Experience building test automation and verification flows with scripting languages is preferred.
