VP Data Experience / Product Owner
The VP Data Experience / Product Owner joins the Data Experience organization to lead strategic initiatives at the intersection of product, operations, technology, risk, and compliance. This leader manages complex business capabilities from strategy through execution, ensuring internal and external data is validated before flowing downstream. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining product roadmaps, managing backlogs, translating features into user stories, and facilitating scrum ceremonies to drive collaboration between business and technical teams. The role requires expertise in data quality, governance, and risk management within a highly regulated environment. Key skills include experience with capital markets, wealth management, custody platforms, and API integration. The candidate will solve critical problems regarding operational efficiency and advisor experience by developing scalable operating models, improving reporting frameworks, and overseeing large-scale transformation programs involving business process redesign and technology modernization.
Define product strategy, roadmap priorities, and business capabilities from initial concept through execution.
Manage the product backlog by breaking features into user stories and establishing acceptance criteria.
Ensure internal and external data is validated for quality and governance before it flows to downstream teams.
Act as a primary liaison between scrum teams and business stakeholders to manage expectations and resolve conflicts.
Develop executive-level dashboards and reporting frameworks to track key performance metrics and strategic progress.
Drive large-scale transformation programs involving business process redesign, technology modernization, and organizational change.
Align cross-functional teams across product, operations, risk, and compliance to ensure regulatory alignment.
Build scalable operating models to improve operational efficiency and enhance the advisor experience.
What we're looking for
Minimum 15 years of experience in product management, business transformation, strategy execution, operations leadership, or related roles within financial services.
Minimum 10 years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams in an agile environment.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Capability Owner, or equivalent role driving strategic outcomes.
Experience owning enterprise products, business capabilities, operating models, or data domains with significant regulatory and risk impact.
Demonstrated expertise in data quality, data governance, controls, reconciliations, reporting, and operational risk management.
Proven ability to lead large transformation programs involving business process redesign and technology modernization.
Strong understanding of capital markets, wealth management, brokerage, custody, and retirement services.
Ability to influence executive stakeholders and develop executive-level reporting, metrics, and strategic planning materials.
