VP, Cloud Security Operations serves as a technical leader within the Security Architecture & Engineering organization, focusing on the integration and optimization of enterprise security technologies. This individual contributor role involves driving cloud operational effectiveness by managing a diverse stack including EDR, SIEM, log management, email security, and AI security tools. The successful candidate will perform cross-platform gap analysis, optimize SIEM ingestion pipelines, develop automation workflows, and establish engineering standards for telemetry and logging architectures. Key technical requirements include proficiency in Python, PowerShell, Go, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code to reduce maintenance overhead. The role addresses the complex challenge of ensuring interoperability and security readiness across hybrid environments while navigating regulatory and audit requirements within a regulated financial services context. You will bridge gaps between various engineering teams to ensure consistent detection fidelity and platform scalability.
Drive the integration, optimization, and interoperability of enterprise security technologies across cloud and on-premise environments.
Perform cross-platform gap analysis to identify visibility gaps, telemetry deficiencies, and opportunities for automation.
Optimize SIEM ingestion pipelines, including event normalization, telemetry enrichment, and routing to improve detection fidelity.
Develop engineering strategies and standards for logging architectures, alert enrichment, and automated workflows.
Build redundancy strategies across security controls to increase system resiliency and reduce single points of failure.
Develop and maintain automation tooling using Python, PowerShell, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code.
Lead technical assessments and the onboarding of new cloud security technologies and integration enhancements.
Communicate integration strategies, engineering priorities, and optimization roadmaps to internal stakeholders and leadership.
What we're looking for
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, cloud security engineering, security architecture, or enterprise security operations.
5+ years of experience leading or coordinating large-scale security engineering initiatives across multiple domains.
5+ years of experience with enterprise security technologies including SIEM, EDR/XDR, log management, email security, DLP, IDS/IPS, WAF, and firewalls.
2+ years of experience in cloud telemetry engineering, event normalization, log pipeline optimization, and SIEM ingestion strategies.
2+ years of experience designing and optimizing cross-platform integrations and interoperability frameworks.
Experience developing automation workflows using Python, PowerShell, Go, APIs, or orchestration frameworks.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GIAC, or AWS Security Specialty are preferred.
