The VP, Cloud Security Operations is a technical individual contributor within the Security Architecture & Engineering organization. This role serves as a strategic integration lead responsible for the interoperability, optimization, and operational effectiveness of enterprise security technologies across cloud and hybrid environments. You will build engineering strategies to enhance platform readiness, optimize SIEM ingestion pipelines, and develop automation workflows to reduce maintenance overhead. Key responsibilities include performing cross-platform gap analyses and managing telemetry for tools such as EDR, SIEM, DLP, WAF, and AI security platforms. You will utilize Python, PowerShell, Go, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code to drive technical initiatives. The role solves complex problems regarding logging consistency, detection fidelity, and security readiness within a regulated financial services environment by standardizing integration patterns and telemetry engineering.
Lead the integration and interoperability of enterprise security technologies across cloud and on-premise environments.
Perform cross-platform gap analysis to identify visibility deficiencies, redundant tooling, and automation opportunities.
Optimize SIEM ingestion pipelines, cloud logging strategies, and event normalization to improve detection fidelity.
Develop engineering standards for telemetry, logging architectures, and automation workflows.
Build redundancy strategies across security controls to increase system resiliency and reduce single points of failure.
Develop and maintain automation tooling using Python, PowerShell, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code.
Lead technical assessments and onboarding for new cloud security technologies and engineering enhancements.
Coordinate technical initiatives across AI, Log Management, and Security Platform Engineering teams.
What we're looking for
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, cloud security engineering, security architecture, or enterprise security operations.
5+ years of experience leading or coordinating large-scale security engineering initiatives across multiple domains.
5+ years of experience with enterprise security technologies including SIEM, EDR/XDR, log management, email security, DLP, IDS/IPS, WAF, firewalls, and cloud security platforms.
2+ years of experience in cloud telemetry engineering, event normalization, log pipeline optimization, and SIEM ingestion strategies.
2+ years of experience designing and optimizing cross-platform integrations and interoperability frameworks.
Experience developing automation workflows using Python, PowerShell, Go, APIs, or orchestration frameworks.
Experience working in regulated enterprise environments, preferably within financial services.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
