The Senior Cloud Security Architect joins the Security Architecture organization to define, implement, and govern security architectures across public, private, and SaaS environments. This role involves designing security standards, patterns, and reference models for multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud infrastructures. You will partner with cloud engineering and application teams to integrate security controls into cloud-native applications, containers, and Kubernetes platforms. Key responsibilities include governing identity and access management, network security, data protection, encryption, logging, and security automation while driving Zero Trust and secure-by-design principles. You must possess deep expertise in AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud security services. The role requires technical proficiency in DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code to support large-scale cloud transformation and modernization initiatives within highly regulated industries.
Design and maintain cloud security architectures, standards, and reference models across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
Integrate security controls into cloud platforms and services in partnership with engineering and infrastructure teams.
Lead security architecture reviews for cloud-native applications, containers, Kubernetes platforms, and SaaS solutions.
Govern cloud security capabilities including identity management, network security, data protection, and security automation.
Identify cloud security risks and develop mitigation strategies aligned with regulatory requirements.
Drive the adoption of Zero Trust, secure-by-design, and cloud-native security principles.
Evaluate emerging cloud security technologies to support future-state architecture strategies.
What we're looking for
Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
14 years or more of experience leading large-scale cybersecurity architecture, engineering, security operations, or technology transformation functions in complex, global environments.
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud security architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform environments.
Deep expertise in cloud security, network security, identity and access management, data protection, encryption, and infrastructure security.
Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, containers, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF, SABSA, or equivalent (preferred).
Experience within financial services or other highly regulated industries (preferred).
