VDI Engineer

What you'll do

• Architect, design, implement, and maintain enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions.
• Provide Tier 3 technical support to resolve complex VDI-related performance and infrastructure issues.
• Administer Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, including Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
• Manage Citrix ADC (NetScaler) appliances for load balancing, SSL, and secure remote access.
• Support virtualized infrastructure on platforms such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, and Nutanix.
• Conduct technical evaluations and trade studies to provide architecture and solution selection recommendations.
• Use PowerShell scripting to automate Citrix administration and operational tasks.
• Manage user profile data using technologies like Liquidware ProfileUnity or Microsoft FSLogix.

What we're looking for

• Must possess a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI + Polygraph clearance.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive experience designing, implementing, administering, and troubleshooting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops version 7.x and later.
• Strong proficiency with Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS).
• Working knowledge of user profile management and containerization technologies like Liquidware ProfileUnity or Microsoft FSLogix.
• Experience administering and troubleshooting Citrix ADC (NetScaler) appliances, including load balancing and SSL.
• Experience supporting virtualized infrastructure on VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix, or Citrix Xenserver.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and automation to support Citrix administration and operational tasks.
• Experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments (preferred).
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or DSC (preferred).
• Experience with enterprise monitoring platforms like ControlUp, Citrix Director, Splunk, or Microsoft SCOM (preferred).
• Familiarity with storage technologies including SAN, NAS, and hyperconverged infrastructure (preferred).
• Knowledge of security frameworks, vulnerability remediation, and STIG compliance (preferred).
• Experience supporting DevOps or CI/CD processes for infrastructure deployments (preferred).
