Data Center Apprentice Engineer

What you'll do

• Operate and perform general maintenance on central plant equipment to ensure building systems run smoothly.
• Monitor building systems continuously to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
• Develop technical solutions for engineering leadership based on identified system problems.
• Respond promptly and professionally to client requests and service needs.
• Execute all established emergency procedures as required by the property and company guidelines.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to support daily building operations.
• Train team members on proper operation and maintenance procedures.
• Perform all maintenance activities in strict accordance with established safety protocols.

What we're looking for

• High School diploma or GED.
• Enrollment in the Local 68 Apprenticeship Program.
• Must be a member of Local 68 union or willing to join upon hire.
• Strong customer service, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office applications.
• Detail-oriented approach with strong organizational abilities and multi-tasking capabilities.
• Technical certification or formal training in HVAC, building operations, or mechanical systems (preferred).
• Experience in commercial buildings, familiarity with CMMS, or proven ability to work in collaborative teams (preferred).
