Test Engineer, Manufacturing

What you'll do

• Manage production test flows and maintain ownership of all testing activities in the manufacturing process.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting to resolve complex electrical issues identified during system testing.
• Maintain and improve test systems to increase automation, consistency, and total cycle time.
• Create clear work instructions for technicians and provide training on equipment usage.
• Develop a library of common failure modes with corresponding troubleshooting guides and diagrams.
• Conduct root cause analysis on product failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Analyze test data and document results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure precision and reliability across the manufacturing stream.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
• Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS.
• Experience with contract manufacturers and thorough knowledge of PCBA testing standards and methods.
• Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, and data acquisition sensors.
• Strong root cause analysis skills for non-conforming hardware.
• Familiarity with PLM, MES, and TES systems.
• Experience integrating electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems; eligible to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with Python, LabVIEW, and/or MATLAB for data parsing and visualization (preferred).
• Experience with test automation, PCBA design, mechanical design, and hardware communication protocols (preferred).
• Experience with ESS-related testing such as thermal or vibration (preferred).
• Currently possesses an active U.S. Secret security clearance (preferred).
