JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Test Engineer, Intelligence Systems The Manufacturing Test Engineer joins the Intelligence Systems team to ensure high-quality production and throughput for specialized engineering products serving Intelligence Community customers. You will own production test activities, providing hands-on troubleshooting for complex electrical issues and maintaining test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream, from system-level checkouts to component-level validation. Key responsibilities include improving automation, generating work instructions for the MES, performing root cause analysis on non-conforming hardware, and collaborating with design teams on product enhancements. Required skills include experience with PCBA testing standards, Linux, Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS. You must be proficient with electronics test equipment like oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers. This role solves critical national security requirements by ensuring the reliability of integrated electrical, mechanical, and software systems.

What you'll do

Maintain ownership of production test flows and provide hands-on troubleshooting for complex electrical issues.
Manage test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream from system-level checkouts to component-level validation.
Improve existing test systems to increase automation, consistency, cycle time, and test coverage.
Generate test work instructions for technicians and provide training on equipment usage.
Determine root causes of product failures and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Analyze test data and document results to identify defects and provide detailed reports.
Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure precision and reliability.
Provide feedback to design engineers for product enhancements based on test outcomes.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
5+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS.
Experience with contract manufacturers in testing PCBA/electronic assemblies and thorough knowledge of PCBA testing standards.
Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, and spectrum analyzers.
Experience working on projects involving the integration of electrical, mechanical, and software/firmware systems.
Familiarity with PLM, MES, and TES systems; experience with Python, MATLAB, and hardware communication protocols (preferred).
