What you'll do

  • Manage production test flows and provide hands-on troubleshooting for complex electrical issues during testing.
  • Maintain and improve test systems to increase automation, consistency, and total cycle time.
  • Create clear work instructions for technicians and train them on equipment usage.
  • Develop a library of common failure modes with corresponding troubleshooting guides and diagrams.
  • Perform root cause analysis on product failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Analyze test data and provide detailed reports to identify defects and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to provide feedback for product enhancements based on test outcomes.
  • Maintain and calibrate all test equipment to ensure precision and reliability.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment.
  • Familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS.
  • Experience with contract manufacturers in testing PCBA/electronic assemblies and knowledge of PCBA testing standards.
  • Familiarity with electronics test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills for non-conforming hardware.
  • Familiarity with PLM, MES, and TES systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD clearance.
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred).
  • Pursuing a Master’s degree in an engineering or related field (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Python, LabVIEW, and/or MATLAB for data parsing and visualization (preferred).
  • Experience with test automation, PCBA design, mechanical design, and hardware communication protocols (preferred).
  • Experience with ESS-related testing such as thermal and vibration (preferred).
