Technical Services Specialist
The Technical Services Specialist joins the North American Vehicle Payments team to transform complex data into meaningful insights while developing scalable reporting solutions for internal teams and customers. This role focuses on the design, development, automation, and optimization of reporting tools to improve data accessibility and provide advanced visualization capabilities. The successful candidate will build interactive dashboards, automate recurring workflows, and perform data validation to ensure accuracy in transaction and spend reports. Key technical requirements include proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects, and advanced Excel, including formulas and pivot tables. The role involves solving business problems related to reporting requirements for customer activity and operational performance. By collaborating with sales and implementation teams, the specialist will modernize legacy processes and provide analytical support for complex inquiries within the vehicle payments and commercial card industry.
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Business Objects or other BI tools.
Create custom reports to provide actionable insights into customer activity, transaction patterns, and operational performance.
Automate recurring reporting processes and data workflows to improve efficiency and meet established SLAs.
Partner directly with customers to gather requirements, troubleshoot data issues, and recommend reporting solutions.
Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
Perform data validation and reconciliation activities to ensure the accuracy of customer-facing reports.
Create and maintain technical documentation including data definitions, business rules, and standard operating procedures.
Identify opportunities to modernize legacy reporting through automation and improved data architecture.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
1-2 years of experience in a professional business, technical, reporting, or analytics environment.
1-2 years of experience in report development, data analysis, business intelligence, client reporting, or technical analytics support.
Strong experience with Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects, or another enterprise BI platform.
Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and automation; macro/VBA experience is a plus.
Experience developing dashboards, data visualizations, and executive or customer-facing reporting.
Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, data quality, and reporting accuracy.
Experience supporting customer implementations, onboarding, or technical integrations (preferred); transportation, fleet, payments, fintech, or commercial card industry experience is a plus.
