Technical Services Engineer The Technical Services Engineer joins the MongoDB team to provide expert guidance and solve complex problems for customers across the entire ecosystem, including database servers, drivers, cloud infrastructure, Atlas, and Cloud Manager. What you'll do

Resolve complex customer issues regarding architecture, performance, recovery, and security for the MongoDB ecosystem.
Provide expert advice on best practices for running MongoDB at scale across various infrastructures.
Act as a customer advocate by communicating their needs to product management and development teams.
Develop internal software tools for performance benchmarking, diagnostics, and support workflows.
Troubleshoot issues holistically from the application tier through the database down to storage.
Perform systems engineering tasks including Linux performance tuning, memory management, and network troubleshooting.
Manage technical escalations independently while providing advanced diagnostics for peer engineers.

What we're looking for

Candidates must have experience.
Experience in systems engineering including Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, and networking is required.
A strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols such as DNS, TCP/IP, and SSL/TLS is required.
Ability to analyze issues holistically from the application tier through the database down to storage is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a desire to solve complex problems are required.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, Ruby, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, Node.js, Go, PHP, or Perl is preferred.
Familiarity with modern AI concepts and AI-assisted tools for troubleshooting is preferred.
